Growth Seminar - 1 – 3 SH Credit
The church growth seminar is conducted on campus at Bethany
whereby all students may attend. The faculty announces the
dates of these seminars.
Mi-502 Directed
Reading - 1 – 3 SH
Credit
Pursues an area of Missions through reading books, periodicals,
and writings. He then presents his work to Bethany. These
readings are under the direction of an assigned professor.
Mi-503 Missionary
Internship - 3 SH Credit
Provides an opportunity for the missionary to receive credit
by working alongside of or under the supervision of a senior
missionary, or a mission board whereby the student actually
involves himself with mission work. Should one be interested
in this program, application should be made to the Dean
of Students.
Mi-504 Survey
of World Religions - 3 SH Credit
Provides an introductory survey of Christian missions from
A.D. 30 to the twentieth century.
Mi-505 Anthropology
- 3 SH Credit
Explores a sympathetic approach to the problems of cultural
diversity throughout the world. This course is addressed
primarily to the Bible school student of conservative evangelical
background.
Mi-506 History
of Missions - 3 SH Credit
Takes a look at the Biblical foundations, delineation, instrument
and dynamics of missions.
Mi-507 A Theology
of Missions - 3 SH Credit
This course deals with fundamental issues of missions today.
Those preparing for a life of service as a missionary should
take this course.
Mi-508 Independent
Research - 3 SH Credit
Allowed to research an area of Missions in the Master’s
Program and presents it in the form of a dissertation, consisting
of no less than 10,000 words.
Mi-601 Missions
Seminar - 3 SH Credit

Mi-602 Missions
Practicum - 3 – 6 SH Credit
Application of principles and methods of missionary disciplining
in an actual disciplining experience under the supervision
of a qualified instructor, pastor, or mission board.
Mi-701 Thesis
- 6 SH Credit
Required to research the area of Missions and present a
thesis of no less than 20,000 words in the form of two hardbound
copies to the Seminary. The Seminary will keep one copy
and the other copy will be returned to the student. The
title of the thesis and subject matter to be covered must
be presented and subject matter to be covered must be presented
to the Dean for approval prior to beginning the research
project.
