An introduction to the authorship and contents of the Old Testament books. Special attention will be given to important persons, places, and events, as well as the historical background, literary analysis, and theological message.
This course takes a look at the various cults and their belief. Some of the specific cults covered will be Jehovah’s Witnesses, Christian Science, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons), Scientology, and The New Age movement. Other areas will be explored including why some movements that were cults are now considered to be Christian.
